Will's Christmas Party

Today was the toddler's Christmas party and it was so adorable. It seems like the Fall Party in November was good practice, all the children were comfortable and there were no tears. When I arrived, Will met me at the door and pointed out the Advent Chocolate Calendar that his teachers were giving all of the children for Christmas presents. That little kid can sniff out candy and treats with the best of the bloodhounds! Everyone sat down for a yummy lunch of turkey and cheese sandwiches, pretzels, mandarin oranges, and teddy bear, candy cane, & Christmas tree cookies for dessert. Will had three servings of pretzels and several cookies and a bite or two of the sandwich and oranges just to appease me. Kids can live on pretzels and cookies, right?!?!

The real surprise of the party was when the children gave their Christmas presents to the parents. It was a glass plate decorated with a handprint angel. So precious and I am sure it will be one of my favorite gifts this year. I also got a picture of Will with his lead teacher, Mrs. April or Miss Apple as he calls her. Mrs. April and Mrs. Kelley have been so wonderful this year. All of the children adjusted very quickly to the school routine and I know it is because of the warm, caring environment they have in the classroom.
